The Birth of an Idea#
A friend asked me why I would create another baby naming app when there are already so many available.
My baby was born at the end of last year. Finding a good name for my baby has been troubling me for several months.
I heard that names can be derived from the Book of Songs, so I bought a set of the Book of Songs specifically for this purpose. However, because I lacked the skill to come up with good names, I couldn't create meaningful names even after reading the original texts and explanations of the poems.
I tried many naming apps, on iOS, web, and mini-programs, but I found that these apps either generate random names or use the principles of Chinese divination. (AI technology was not mature at that time)
I am not interested in Chinese divination. It's difficult for me to use such mystical apps to name my baby and explain to others why I chose such a name or what meaning and hopes it carries.
I also tried using ChatGPT for some reference, but the names it generated were shallow and lacked depth. It might even fabricate poem content and related allusions. (AI hallucination problem)
So I thought, can I "train" ancient poems and combine them with AI to create a baby naming app?

I collected and organized hundreds of thousands of poems, and turned these poems into vectors.
After users input their desired atmosphere, the app searches for poems related to that atmosphere and uses AI to combine the poems with the desired atmosphere to generate names.
More Loving Combination of Names#
I previously learned about a very loving way of naming, which is to include the parents' surnames and given names in the baby's name as a symbol and combination of love.
In the "Baby Naming Master - Artistic and Loving" app, this naming method has also been implemented as a product. After entering the baby's surname and the mother's or father's name, the app can generate a more loving name for the baby.
