As for why there are cracked images? 90% is unsuccessful reception (forgot to click to load), 10% is accidentally deleted during cleaning.

Before, I was thinking if there is any way to save the cracked image. After searching around, the mainstream solutions on the Internet are either to use the PC-side WeChat to synchronize chat records or to use the recovery tool on the mobile phone to see if there are any thumbnails in the cache.

Both of these solutions, to put it bluntly, are just temporary solutions, with a bit of luck, and they do not solve the problem of cracked images from the beginning.

If you really encounter a cracked image at work, in all likelihood, you have to see if the person who sent you the image has a backup. We can't solve the official, and we can't solve the boss. Can we open it every time and save it separately?

I tried it and it's very worry-free. After configuring the rules, it can be fully automated synchronization. Every time a picture comes, it will be sent directly to the specified folder according to the rules, which is very convenient.

According to the author, this project originated from a friend's need to save pictures sent by the boss in batches.

When you first open this tool, the so-called configuration rules are to set your input object (chat object) and output object (location to be synchronized).

The logic of WxAutoExlm 1.0 is still very complicated, but the author quickly updated it to 2.0, with a wizard.

Click the "Wizard" button to find the folder where WeChat stores data, which is generally the "WeChat Files" folder.

However, based on my experience of using it, there are 5 things to note:

WxAutoExlm not only synchronizes future pictures, but also synchronizes pictures that exist in chat records in the past, so the author left an option of "only save this month" in the rules.
WxAutoExlm supports multi-rule synchronization, which means that you can set different local paths and naming rules for different synchronization objects in the "Management" page.

The save is bidirectional. The pictures you send to others will also be saved, and they are directly the original pictures.
If the original picture sent by the other party is too large, according to WeChat's mechanism, you still need to click to load it on the computer. If you do not check "Save thumbnail", it will not be synchronized.

It is recommended to create multiple rules, one for thumbnails and one for original images as needed. What I show here is that both are checked and two copies are saved.

This tool WxAutoExlm is not a true HOOK, so don't expect it to save pictures in WeChat that are not logged in.

However, after enabling synchronization, anti-recall is supported.

This is just a small tool, and it is only about 11M when decompressed. From the perspective of backing up pictures, it is practical to set rules for automatic synchronization without manual saving.
